Meet the Founder
Anchor Counseling and Support Services was founded in December 2025 by Kierra Bryant, MSW, a dedicated social worker with over 12 years of experience serving individuals, families, and communities across diverse social service and mental health settings. The agency was established with a clear purpose: to provide stability, hope, and grounding for those navigating life’s most challenging moments.
Kierra earned her Master of Social Work from Valdosta State University in May 2021 and brings a depth of professional knowledge shaped by extensive direct service and leadership experience. Her professional background includes working with individuals experiencing homelessness; serving as a Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigator with the Department of Family and Children Services; providing mental health counseling to students attending alternative school programs; managing a community mental health agency; and serving as a domestic violence educator and advocate for survivors of sexual assault.
In addition, Kierra has worked as a crisis counselor and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) advocate, providing support to active duty service members, reservists, and veterans. Through this role, she assisted individuals and families facing acute stress, life transitions, and mental health challenges, further strengthening her trauma-informed and crisis-responsive approach to care.
These diverse experiences have reinforced Kierra’s commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered practice, as well as her understanding of the complex systems that impact mental health and well-being. Her work reflects a deep respect for resilience, collaboration, and the importance of accessible, compassionate support, particularly for children, families, and underserved populations.
The name Anchor Counseling and Support Services holds personal significance. For Kierra, an anchor represents more than stability during adversity. The anchor reflects her own journey of learning to lean on others to overcome difficult times. This lived understanding shapes the heart of the agency and ensures that clients feel supported, grounded, and empowered as they navigate life’s storms.
Anchor Counseling and Support Services is committed to walking alongside individuals and families with integrity, compassion, and purpose, serving as a steady anchor during times of transition, uncertainty, and growth.

“My child has autism and finds it difficult to open up. But they love Kierra. She gets right on their level and makes them feel comfortable.”

“Talking to adults has never been my thing but Ms. Kierra made me feel comfortable from the beginning. She is chill and funny. I feel heard and understood. She actually listens, helps me think through my problems, and never makes feel like I’m being talked down to. ”
— Teen Client
“I almost didn’t come to group because I was nervous. I’m glad I did. Kierra made me feel welcomed and free to share. I left feeling lighter, and I’m already looking forward to coming back,”
— Group Counseling Participant
“Kierra responded quickly during a student crisis and helped stabilize the situation. She was able to calm the student, identify the root of the issue, and provide support without disrupting the school day or requiring a parent to leave work.”
“I wanted in person but virtual with Kierra has been wonderful. She communicates everything, which I love. We keep our cameras on which makes me feel seen and paid attention to and she works with my schedule. I am a parent as well; she doesn’t seem frustrated when my kids pop on the screen. She remembers the little things and that makes feel heard. We are working through some real issues so I appreciate her patience and realness.”
